The BBN got to celebrate on Saturday as Missouri transfer Mark Mitchell committed to Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats
.What started as a slow offseason for the Cats ended up with two top-10-ranked transfers in Mitchell and Milan Momcilovic. Pair that with landing guards in Zoom Diallo and Alex Wilkins, and what started off slow ended with some major exclamation points as the season and Big Blue Madness sit just over five weeks away.
Despite all of the criticism for missing on Rob Wright and Donnie
Freeman, Coach Pope and his staff still ended up landing the No. 1 Ranked transfer class according to the 247 Sports rankings.
With two 5-stars, three 4-stars, and two 3-star transfer commits, Kentucky added and seemingly got better at every position compared to last year. Add in the return of Malachi Moreno, and the starting five is arguably one of the best in the country.
Now the fun begins of actually getting to see Mitchell suit it up for the Cats this winter. There are plenty of steps still to come, and one would guess those will be coming very quickly.
But on this day, we celebrate a major recruiting win!
