Clemson once again tried to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory last week. Thankfully Tait Reynolds decided to make good on his promise with an excellent run through a FSU defense that quit before our eyes. As we discussed earlier in the week don’t let the win fool you. This is still a flawed team that has to get a bit lucky to win, especially if the defense is going to fade in the 4th quarter.
This week Clemson heads north to play a Syracuse team with a lot of similarities to the Tigers. The difference
being while Clemson does less with more, the Orange are doing more with less. The return of Steve Angelli at QB has made the Orange a real threat, culminating in wins against UNC and SMU the past two weeks. Clemson’s defense is going to have to be staunch if the Tigers have any hope of winning this game.
Offense is all about surviving and praying. Just do enough to get a win. I do not think we can hope for any more out of this offense barring a real miracle. Maybe Reynolds can have some success against Syracuse. They did lose to Cal, but with what we’ve seen on offense it is hard to be too optimistic here.
