The offseason additions keep on coming for the Syracuse Orange, who have added a second international prospect to their roster.
Abdramane Siby — a center who is originally from Mali and currently plays for BC Mega Superbet in Serbia — is committing to the Orange, according to a report released on Wednesday by Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.
In 20 games with BC Mega Superbet, a professional basketball club, Siby is averaging 3.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 14.4 minutes per game this season.
Givony described Siby as a “highly impactful defender with significant long-term upside.”
Siby joins Slovenian wing Mark Morano Mahmutovič as the additions head coach Gerry McNamara has landed from outside the United States.
Besides Siby and Mahmutovič, Syracuse during the offseason has also landed former Temple guard Aiden Tobiason, former McNeese guard Garwey Dual, former Siena guard Tasman Goodrick, and former Siena guard Gavin Doty via the transfer portal.
