Before Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn get it on inside the ring for “King Ry’s” WBC Welterweight title this Saturday (Sept. 12, 2026) in Las Vegas, Nevada, they will take part in their final press conference later today (Thurs., Sept. 10), which you can stream live at 8 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
Garcia and Benn have already taken part in a couple of heated press conferences to promote the much-anticipated title fight (example here), and the bad blood is very much real between the two powerful
sluggers ahead of the Zuffa Boxing-promoted event, which will stream live on Paramount+.
Garcia is looking for his first-ever defense of the WBC title after winning it earlier this year by shitting out Mario Barrios (recap here). That win was preceded by a tough loss at the hands of Rolando Romero. As for Benn, he is currently on a two-fight win streak against Regis Prograis and Chris Eubank Jr., who handed him his first-ever defeat in 2025.
“I am extremely confident. The preparation is what makes me so confident. I prepared amazingly and I’m just better at the game than him, and that’s just simple,” said Garcia about the looming bout. “He’s going to be game, can’t deny that, he’s going to be coming at me nonstop, but I’m just a little bit more skillful than him and now I’m super conditioned so he’s going to have a bad night. This won’t go past five. It’ll be five and below, is what I’m calling.”
