Roy Jones Jr breaks down the upcoming welterweight title fight between Brian Norman Jr and Devin Haney and explains why he’s expecting to see a good fight, with both men coming into the bout looking to make
a statement about themselves.
“I’m hearing Devin say that — we interviewed him, he said that weight was the problem he was having with his punch resistance and all that, and his punching power,” Jones said. “So if he got it all back, which I’m hearing he has it back in training camp, it’s going to be a really interesting fight.
“If he comes like the old Devin Haney and has that power and has that flair he can make it difficult for Norman, but he better have all that because Norman is coming to win and Norman has no problem, no issues, he’s just coming to win.
“We’ll find out now really how truly good Devin is because he’s going to have to be really good that night and going to have to be really strong minded to keep Norman off.”
Norman puts his welterweight world title on the line against Haney on Nov. 22 and BLH will be here with full liver coverage.
