Barcelona confirmed on Friday the signing of 18-year-old Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge on a deal worth €8.5 million, with Bisiwu signing a five-year contract with the Catalans.
Here’s Barça’s official statement on the deal:
“FC Barcelona and Club Brugge KV have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jesse Bisiwu, who signs up to be a Blaugrana until 30 June 2031.
The player will be presented officially at the
Club offices in the near future.”
Bisiwu’s signing comes after months of negotiations between the two clubs, but the club finally get the transfer over the line and get a player they’ve been really excited about getting.
Barça believe they’ve found a real gem in Bisiwu, who is expected to start the campaign as a Barça Atlètic player but will be involved with the first team training group throughout the season.
