With the Arizona Cardinals on another extended losing streak, the question now is how much they can go up the 2026 NFL Draft order.
As we enter week 13 of the 2025 NFL season, the Arizona Cardinals currently
sit with the ninth pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and with how bad teams are, it doesn’t seem like they can go too much higher.
Let’s take a look.
- Tennessee Titans (1-10)
- New York Giants (2-10)
- New Orleans Saints (2-9)
- New York Jets (2-9)
- Las Vegas Raiders (2-9)
- Cleveland Browns (3-8)
- Washington Commanders (3-8)
- Cincinnati Bengals (3-8)
- Arizona Cardinals (3-8)
- Miami Dolphins (4-7)
- Los Angeles Rams via Atlanta Falcons (4-7)
- Minnesota Vikings (4-7)
I cut it off at the Vikings, because the next team is the Carolina Panthers with a 6-6 record, so the Cardinals, I think we can all agree, are not getting to six wins this season.
Yet, we could see them snag one more win on the season.
Of course, you could see this team losing out as well and finishing a 3-14 season and trying to sell fans that they are going to run it back.
What are the chances?
Well, the Titans are the Titans, they would need a team to throw up all over themselves to win another game.
The Giants stink out loud, they have a young core, and none are healthy, but I guess on paper people would be excited to be there?
The New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders are next… But, the Giants and Raiders still play one another. The issue becomes the Cardinals strength of schedule will just get higher, as they haven’t even played the Los Angeles Rams. That goes for the Saints, who still play the Jets and Falcons. Could the Cardinals early season win hurt them?
I think the Cardinals floor is around the 10th pick, I would actually see the ninth as the lowest they fall down, but I will be hopeful of one more win. How high up? I would say the ceiling (floor?) would be the sixth pick, because their strength of schedule will be so high.
If the Cardinals pick in the top 10 once again, what would you like to see?
