The running back room will apparently not be too different in 2026.
The Arizona Cardinals and running back James Conner have agreed on a restructure of the backs contract in order for him to remain with the team.
Conner only saw action in three games
in 2025 before a devastating ankle injury cost him the remainder of the season.
In the two seasons prior, Conner in 2023 and 2024 finished with over 1,000 yards rushing in both years, and had been over 1,000 combined rushing and receiving yards in every year he had been with the Cardinals since he joined the team in 2021.
Now, he will be back for another year, this time at a lower cost and looking to bounce back after that ankle injury.
Can the soon to be 31-year old running back get back to his bruising ways?
Is this the best option for both sides for the 2026 NFL season?
What are your thoughts?
