California defensive end T.J. Bush has committed to transferring to Minnesota. He was the Golden Bears’ top pass rusher last season, leading the team with 5.5 sacks, four quarterback hurries, and 11.5
tackles for loss.
Bush has one year of eligibility remaining.
He spent the first two seasons of his college career at Liberty, where he was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team with 32 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, and three quarterback hurries.
Bush will help ensure All-Big Ten defensive end Anthony Smith doesn’t have to play every defensive snap of every game, and can also factor into the mix at rush end where the Gophers return Karter Menz and Jaxon Howard.
