For Green Bay Packers fans still licking the wounds after Saturday’s disappointing and frustrating loss to the Chicago Bears, the good or bad news is that there is still a lot more football to be played in Week 16. Sunday brings another 12 games, and one of those stands out well above the rest as one that Packers fans should be watching closely.
That game comes in the late afternoon time slot and will be on most CBS affiliates across the country. It’s time to cheer for Aaron Rodgers again, Packers
fans — he will lead the Pittsburgh Steelers into Ford Field to try to beat the Detroit Lions in a game that has major playoff implications for both teams and both North divisions.

The Steelers opened up a lead on the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North lead last week with a head-to-head win, and the two teams play once again in Week 18. A Steelers win would be helpful on multiple fronts, as that plus a Ravens loss this evening could make Baltimore a longer shot to make the playoffs.
The major benefit to a Steelers win, however, is putting the Packers in better position to clinch a playoff spot. Green Bay’s magic number for the postseason remains at two, so any combination of two Packers wins and Detroit losses locks Green Bay into the postseason.
So tune in, cheer for the old guy one more time, try to enjoy some Sunday football if you can, and talk about it all here at APC.
