What once looked like one of the more challenging games on Indiana football’s schedule has lost quite a bit of its luster during the course of the 2025 season.
Penn State, which began the season with national title aspirations, instead finds itself looking for a new leader after
longtime head coach James Franklin was dismissed following an underwhelming start. Terry Smith, previously the program’s associate head coach, is serving as Penn State’s interim head coach.
Drew Allar, the Nittany Lions’ starter at quarterback, sustained a season-ending injury against Northwestern and has been replaced by Ethan Grunkemeyer, a former 4-star prospect in the class of 2024.
With Smith and Grunkemeyer leading the way, Penn State took a narrow loss on the road at Iowa and fell to Ohio State in Columbus just this past week. The Nittany Lions, winless in conference play, are searching for their first victory of any kind since September 13.
Penn State is still a very talented team that needs to be taken seriously, especially at home with some of the most passionate fans in the sport at Beaver Stadium. That’s what we think, but what about you? Answer this question, and more, below in our Reacts survey!
