What is the story about?
The Cincinnati Reds battled through another rough start by Andrew Abbott and a long weather delay on Friday in Great American Ball Park, doing so in the series opener against the Detroit Tigers on the weekend in which the team will induct four franchise icons into the team’s Hall of Fame.
Matt McLain homered twice, and Nathaniel Lowe did, too – the latter launching his off future Hall of Famer Kenley Jansen in the Bottom of the 9th inning to walk off the victory for the Reds.
Cincinnati moved to 17-9 on the season with the 9-8 victory, doing so while also moving their record in 1-run and 2-run games to a ridiculous billion-and-zero in the process.
Go Reds!
