The United States Men’s National Team are back on the field tonight as they take on Japan in their second and final friendly of the September international window. The USMNT are coming off a 2-0 loss to South Korea that really has crippled much of whatever confidence remained.
The team knows it needs to show improvement, but the Blue Samurai is not going to roll over. They just played Mexico to a scoreless
draw on Saturday night in Oakland and they likely feel they can take control of the match tonight. It will be mandatory for the USMNT to play inspired soccer from the very start of the match, otherwise they will give Japan an opportunity to zap whatever remaining positive energy exists out of the air.
This is a big match in more ways than one for the United States Men’s National Team. It’s time for them to show some improvement, and tonight is the time to start that improvement.
