WWE opened its Money in the Bank premium live event tonight (Sat., Oct. 10, 2026) at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, with Roman Reigns putting his world heavyweight championship on the line against LA Knight. Triple H claimed it was the Tribal Chief himself who requested they go on first.
The build to this one largely centered around Knight claiming Reigns has long been afraid to go one-on-one with him. That is to say, though they’ve fought over the title in a singles match before,
Roman always had help. What would happen if he didn’t?
The crowd was firmly behind Knight, and WWE even gave him a few moments with the live audience before Reigns made his entrance. They were right there during the match too, blowing the roof off for the first near fall after a Burning Hammer the OTC kicked out of.
They really went crazy the second time, when Knight was ready for a Spear after a Superman Punch and hit a jumping BFT. Corey Graves told us no one has kicked out of that one until tonight.
He even kicked out of a Spear from Reigns, and then hit one of his own. That was the third near fall that had the crowd jumping. What the hell would it take?
They went to the outside, and Knight moved out of the way for reigns to Spear the barricade. Then he took him over, picked him up, nearly dropped him, picked him up again, and powerbombed him through the announcer’s table. He grabbed him up quick, threw him in the ring, hit a huge elbow drop off the top rope, and STILL only got two.
An almost desperate Reigns ended up dropping Knight on the ropes, compromising the man completely, and unloading with a Superman punch and then a Spear. That’s what did it.
And still.
