Well. The herd continues to thin out.
But, Penn State football still has a decent chunk of recruits committed to its 2026 class. This is, obviously, subject to change when a new head coach comes to town. As of now, it’s still a top-20 class in the country. Small wins.
Four-star running back Messiah Mickens is back in action after a knee injury kept him sidelined for a large chunk of the season. He racked up 130 all-purpose yards, two sacks, and a knob of TFLs. PennLive named him player of the game
and chopped up a highlight reel of his performance.
Mickens’ Harrisburg (PA) Cougars cruised to a 27-0 win in his return.
Four-star edge Jackson Ford now has his mid-season highlight tape up on his Hudl page. Through seven games, he’s amassed 20 tackles, four TFLs, and three sacks. Ford also took a strip sack back the other way for six in Malvern Prep’s (Malvern, PA) most recent game. The Friars are 6-1 and undefeated in conference play.
Tight end commit Pierce Petersohn is continuing his tirade of a season. He played all over the field, largely at quarterback, and accounted for four total touchdowns.
Petersohn is from Minnesota, and his now being heavily pursued by his hometown Gophers. He’s considered a four-star by 247Sports’ composite ranking and is a hell of an athlete at 6-foot-5 and 195 pounds.
Four-star defensive tackle Tavian Branch had a massive game in Riverside’s (Taylor, PA) blowout win. He plays, and dominates, on both sides of the ball in high school but is settling into playing defense at the next level. He’s already listed at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds.
