Ez Abde will come up against Barcelona on Saturday as Real Betis host the champions in what promises to be an exciting La Liga encounter.
The Morocco international was linked with a return to Barcelona during the summer transfer window but ended up staying at Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Betis have enjoyed a fine start to the season, while Abde was in great form in midweek with a stunning goal against Porto in the Champions League.
Hansi Flick was asked about the winger ahead of the game and made it clear
just how highly he rates the former Barcelona player.
“He’s a fantastic player. We have a great team, but what I see from him impresses me,” he told reporters.
“He’s fantastic; I like the way he plays, his confidence in one-on-one situations, and the goal he scored against Porto was incredible.
“All I can say is that he’s a fantastic player. I don’t want to talk too much about players from other teams, but his level is very high.”
Barcelona will be hoping they can keep Abde quiet as the Catalans aim to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign.
