Bayern Munich, in a thriller of a game, won 3-2 against SC Freiburg away. The home side were dominant from the get-go, but the Bavarians changed the outcome in the last 20 minutes. Hence, the celebrations that ensued were loud and over-the-top — deservedly so.
Following the win, the team ran up to the away side to celebrate with the fans. Serge Gnabry celebrated his long-time friend and teammate Leon Goretzka in the most bizarre, yet comical fashion.
Now, the closeness of the 30s contingent at Bayern
cannot be understated. This includes Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and in the past, included players like Niklas Süle. These players had risen from different youth academies across Germany, but all played for the National Team from their youth, getting their call-ups to the senior team around 2016-2018. Having known each other since their teens means this group is inseparable.
Therefore, it is only natural that Gnabry celebrates Goretzka “fashionably” by sporting a pair of swimming trunks/shorts with the latter’s face all over.
Absolutely incredible. Literal work of art.
It did not end there — a MASSIVE poster of Goretzka in a hoodie, baring his chest, was held up by Josip Stanišić and Kim Min-jae.
This is the best Bayern send-off ever — where was this energy when Thomas Müller was leaving?
Now, for the most serious question.
WHICH BAYERN PLAYER IS USING THAT TOWEL/BLANKET?!?!
Please let us know your theories in the comments below.
