What is the story about?
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo tore his right Achilles tendon during Minnesota’s playoff game versus the Denver Nuggets on Saturday evening. DiVincenzo will be out for the remainer of the playoffs. Shams Charania of ESPN reported the news.
DiVincenzo played just
one minute before leaving the game. He started in all 82 of the Timberwolves’ regular-season contests this year, averaging 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 30.4 minutes per appearance.
Should the Portland Trail Blazers emerge victorious from their first-round series against the San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota is a likely opponent for them in the second round. The Timberwolves lead the Nuggets 3-1 in their best-of-seven series.
