Indiana men’s basketball seems set on signing a center through the high school ranks in 2026, getting involved with plenty of the top prospects at the position. Arafan Diane, On3/Rivals No. 1 ranked center in the class, included the Hoosiers in his top-5 programs, per Joe Tipton:
The other programs listed in Diane’s top-5 are Kentucky, Arkansas, Virginia and Houston. That’s one of the top programs in the sport, a master recruiter in John Calipari, a rebuilding Cavaliers program and Kelvin Sampson coming off of another Final Four. Stiff competition.
As for Diane himself, he’s rated as a 4-star in Rivals’ Industry Ranking while ranking in as the 19th highest-rated overall prospect in the class of 2026. He’s set to visit Bloomington in October, the second-to-last visit on his schedule before Houston. He hails from Guinea and attends Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa.
Getting this far in another recruitment is a good sign for an Indiana staff seemingly set on signing one of the top centers before next season.
