Bayer Leverkusen left-back and set piece maestro Alejandro Grimaldo will not be making the move to Bayern Munich, according to the latest report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Grimaldo
had been surprisingly linked as captured to the Bavarians, but this report puts a damper on any transfer rumors. As captured by @iMiaSanMia_GER:
Alejandro Grimaldo to Bayern is currently ‘off the table’. Eberl and Freund are not currently following up on the matter. Additionally, Raphaël Guerreiro, a player with nearly the same profile, is still in the squad. There is no contact between Bayern and the player. [@Plettigoal, TUdS]
Guerreiro also arrived from Bundesliga rivals — Borussia Dortmund — a few seasons ago, although the Portuguese international will be out of contract in the summer. So keep an eye on that left-back position…
