Here in Broncos Country, we’ve been seeing all the heat with bad calls from referees. We had the controversial pass interference call that should have been illegal contact with the Rams, and this week we had a fumble for the first time ever when a player’s forearm touched the ground while an opponent had him wrapped up.
But hey, at least we don’t have refs dropping F-bombs like they are going out of style on the sidelines of our games.
Are all the flags coming from some burning anger from their recent
bargaining agreement? Is someone high up in the officiating on the take? Just how much bonus money are the refs making on the side to make ends meet while they do this thankless job?
At this point in the season (only 4 games in), I’m pining for the days when refs mostly just called the game either loose or tight for both teams and maybe missed a call or two through the game. Basically, I’d like more football and less drama with the officiating, please. Hit us up in the comments and let us know what you think.
