Barcelona have pretty big plans for the summer as they try to give Hansi Flick a better, more complete squad to compete in all fronts next season. But they might have to make some tough decisions.
The dream signings are well known — Julián Alvarez and Alessandro Bastoni are the favorite striker and center-back targets — but reinforcements at full-back and the wing are also needed to build a truly deep squad with high-level options in all areas.
Barça are still navigating tough financial waters and
might need to make an important sale or two to fund their big plans, and a few names have been floated as possible “painful departures”: Jules Kounde, Fermín López and Alejandro Balde have some admirers in the Premier League, and clubs from Saudi Arabia are expected to come back for Raphinha and offer both Barça and the Brazilian some crazy amount of money to finally convince him to leave Camp Nou.
Any one of those four — especially the team’s spiritual leader in Raphinha — would be tough departures to take, but they could help the club reach their transfer goals and strengthen the squad in positions of need.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Which ‘painful sale’ would you reluctantly accept this summer if it meant Barcelona could strengthen elsewhere?
Now it’s over to you! Feel free to share your thoughts, predictions, opinions and answers in the comments section below!
