Chelsea and RC Strasbourg have completed our first, effectively in-house loan deal of the summer, with Genesis Antwi joining our BlueCo sister club for the season ahead. We are allowed up to three loans to RCSA so I’d expect two more to follow in Antwi’s footsteps before window’s end.
(In the meantime, we are allowed up to six foreign loans, including any such arrangement with RCSA; we have three remaining at the moment after the moves of Antwi, Harrison Murray-Campbell, and Jesse Derry.)
Antwi is
a highly promising right back, who featured a couple times during our UEFA Conference League campaign two seasons ago, but has not made any other senior professional appearance since. He did sign an extension last year, and thus remains tied to Chelsea until 2028
Strasbourg, under new head coach Hugo Oliveira, are knee deep in preseason preparations. They have a game today in fact, with the season set to start in a little under three weeks.
