Good morning, Broncos Country!
The release of the Denver Broncos’ schedule is always a fun experience.
Doom and gloom. Unicorns and rainbows. Somewhere in the middle. That’s the joy of being a fan.
However, there are some fun storylines. And we’ve pretty much covered them all since the Broncos 2026 schedule release on Thursday. There was the good, bad, and ugly of the schedule, and then the best revenge games.
Let’s add another one to the mix, the most intriguing and must-watch games. For this, let’s go with six.
1. Week 8 vs Seattle Seahawks
If not for a fluke ankle injury to quarterback Bo Nix, this would have been the Super Bowl matchup. Now we get it in Week 8. How do the Broncos match up against the defending Super Bowl champions?
I don’t love that this game comes on Thursday Night Football, but at least it’s at home. And there will be ample amounts of motivation for Denver.
In my mind, this is the most intriguing game of the season. I want to see how the Broncos play against the champs.
2. Week 1 @ Kansas City Chiefs
Just about everyone expects Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to bounce back in 2026.
Just about everyone expects Nix and Denver to fall back in 2026.
No better way for the Broncos to start the season off with an underdog Monday Night Football win on the road. After all, Denver is the defending AFC West champs. Show the rest of the NFL the Broncos are here to stay.
3. Week 16 vs Buffalo Bills
Once again, Denver can make or spoil Christmas.
The good news is that this game will take place at Mile High Stadium.
There is the obvious storyline of Josh Allen and the Bills looking for revenge. Nix and the Broncos are out to prove that playoff win wasn’t a fluke.
Add to it that both teams will likely be playing for their respective division titles and AFC playoff seeding. This game could be a doozy come Christmas.
4. Week 17 @ New England Patriots
I considered putting this as high as No. 2, but this feels like the right spot. And considering the home game the week before this, that’s why it’s here.
Clearly, this has all the intriguing storylines of a late-season game.
The rematch of the AFC Championship Game.
Bo Nix vs Drake Maye
Will both teams match what they did last season?
What makes this contest tougher for Denver is that it’s on the road. Foxborough is a difficult place to play, especially in December. And where will both teams be in their respective divisions and playoff race?
5. Week 2 vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Aside from Nix’s injury, the most surprising aspect of the 2025 season was the beatdown that Trevor Lawrence and the Jags put on Denver at Mile High.
How the Broncos respond in the home opener is very intriguing, especially if they get that upset win over KC in Week 1. Obviously, Jacksonville will want to play spoiler again and likely play the disrespected card they used as motivation last season.
On top of that, being the home opener for Denver adds to all of this.
6. Week 3 vs Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are the current favorites to win the Super Bowl.
Much like the Week 8 game against Seattle, this one vs. the Rams has intrigue through the roof. How the Broncos match up and perform against LA at home will tell us a lot about this team.
