Report: Milan offers Goretzka, three-year, €15 million deal (Sempre Milan)
For weeks, we have heard that AC Milan was going to make a serious run at Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka when he becomes a free agent this season.
The big question was always — “How serious?”
Well, maybe not nearly enough:
AC Milan have made the decision to push strongly for Leon Goretzka, a report claims, under the request of Massimiliano Allegri.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are looking for ‘another Rabiot, perhaps a couple or even three’. While the team are busy trying to lock
up a Champions League spot, the management are planning on adding some more experience to the squad.
The challenge should be to support Milan in their European resurgence, and in exchange Milan is ready to offer Goretzka – the target in question – a three-year contract worth at least €5m net per year in salary. This, too, is a Rabiot-style deal.
Last September, Adrien signed a three-year deal with the Rossoneri until 2028. The club’s strategy has necessarily been revised and adjusted: while long contracts for players over 30 were previously frowned upon, they are now a necessity driven by renewed international ambitions.
This contract (€5 million per season) is far below what Goretzka currently earns (€13 million salary + €4 million bonus structure for a €17 million total package) per Capology. Would the Germany international be willing to take that much of a hit?
It seems like that could be too big of a hit for the 31-year-old to take.
After speculation, could Konaté extend with LFC? (ESPN)
In recent months, Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté has been linked to clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain. Now that push could be coming to shove, the French defender could just ink an extension with the Reds:
Ibrahima Konaté is increasingly likely to extend his stay at Liverpool, as he enters the final few months of his contract at Anfield. That’s according to L’Equipe, which claims the defender wants his future ironed out before this summer’s World Cup. The 26-year-old has interest from LaLiga, but appears to be leaning toward signing another deal with Liverpool, as they build a backline for the future with the €60 million arrival of Jérémy Jacquet already set.
Neuer, Kimmich recognized for UCL effort (Sofascore)
Manuel Neuer was the only Bayern Munich player named to Sofascore’s UCL Team of the Week:
Neuer was also named the official Champions League Player of the Week by UEFA:
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich and right-back Josip Stanišić joined Neuer on UEFA’s official Team of the Week:
Brighton could make play for Ibrahimović (The Brighton Base’s Charlie Parker-Turner )
Bayern Munich has reportedly liked what it has seen from Arijon Ibrahimović while he has been on loan at Heidenheim this season — so much that is is considering him to be in the mix to be the back-up at left wing next season.
However, Brighton & Hove Albion might be interested in making a move for the 2o-year-old attacker:
Brighton are reportedly one of several sides keeping close tabs on Bayern Munich youngster Arijon Ibrahimovic.
The forward is currently out on loan to 1. FC Heidenheim until the end of the season, where he has scored one goal and registered three assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Nevertheless, Ibrahimovic’s performances have caught the attention of several top clubs around Europe, with his pace, energy and versatility seeing him identified as a useful attacking option.
Brandt to Roma? (ESPN via Gazzetta dello Sport)
Borussia Dortmund and Julian Brandt are parting ways this summer and AS Roma could be eager to give him a new home:
AS Roma have made contact over a move for midfielder Julian Brandt, who will be a free agent when he leaves Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
Bayern not serious about Touré (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich was linked to Hoffenheim attacker Bazoumana Touré, but that alleged interest might not be all that serious. Instead, Liverpool could be the frontrunner for the 20-year-old:
Liverpool are among the clubs showing strong interest in signing Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure during the summer transfer window.
The Reds are expected to strengthen their attacking options after a hugely frustrating 2025-26 campaign.
According to a report from Bild, the Reds have identified Toure as a potential candidate to replace Salah this summer.
The 20-time Premier League champions have already been linked with several high-quality players, including Yan Diomande, but Toure has now emerged as another viable option.
The report claims that Liverpool are likely to face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich for the Ivorian winger.
Christian Falk has told CFBayern that while Bayern do admire the young attacker, he is not currently a top priority for them.
Neymar to…FC Cincinnati? (The Athletic’s Tom Bogert)
I seriously cannot imagine a less likely pairing:
