For the 4th game of the 2025 season, the Miami Hurricanes return to Hard Rock Stadium to face off against a hated rival that is on the brink of their season falling apart: the Florida Gators.
While Miami has started the season with big wins over Notre Dame, Bethune Cookman, and USF, Florida has been one of the stories of the early CFB season…for all the wrong reasons. A week 2 loss to USF (the same USF that Miami beat by 5 scores last week), was compounded by a loss on the road at rivals LSU last week,
a game that saw UF QB D.J. Lagway throw 5 interceptions.
With teams seemingly going in different directions, here’s the info you need to watch this week’s rivalry game between the Canes and the Gators:

This is another big game for Miami. The Canes are ranked in the top 5, and they have everything to play for. This week’s game against a struggling and wounded Florida team is another chance to beat a rival and add a win to the ledger. As for Florida, this may very well be Head Coach Billy Napier’s last stand. The Gators are in disarray, with a pair of bad losses, an assistant coach suspended for slapping an LSU player, and the narratives around them ranging from bad to horrible. Rivalry games can bring out the best in teams, and for Florida, that’s undoubtedly the hope to save their tanking season.
As always, you should be at HRS for this game! ESPECIALLY this game, a rivalry game against the Gators. But, if you’re not, be sure you tune in to see our beloved Canes for week 4. You won’t want to miss it!
