PSG to target Olise next summer (PSG Talk)
It looks like we can formally add Paris Saint-Germain to the list of clubs who want to attempt to get Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise in the summer of 2026:
PSG have focused on strengthening their French
core in recent transfer windows, bringing in players like Bradley Barcola, Desire Doué, and Lucas Chevalier.
Now, another French talent could soon be on their radar. TBR Football previously reported that Bayern Munich are keen to secure Michael Olise with a new contract before the season ends, aiming to fend off rising interest from other clubs.
The German club are reportedly impressed with Olise’s development and are preparing a “huge pay rise” to keep him. Liverpool have monitored the winger for some time, while Chelsea, PSG, and Barcelona are also interested—though none are expected to make a move next summer.
Fichajes reports that Liverpool have identified their preferred attacking replacement, with Olise emerging as the main target to fill the expected void left by Mohamed Salah.
The Reds are reportedly ready to bid over €100 million for the player, but Bayern Munich are also holding firm, asking for €150 million to part ways with him.
Bayern Munich are also considering extending the Frenchman’s contract through 2031 as a measure to secure his future and make a transfer more difficult.
Prying Olise away from Bayern Munich will not be easy. The Bavarians want to ink the Frenchman to a contract extension and he also generally seems to enjoy life in Bavaria. That said, some of the clubs showing interest (PSG, Manchester City, Liverpool) can offer the 23-year-old generational-type money.
Decisions, decisions…
Zirkzee wants to leave United in January (ESPN)
Former Bayer Munich prospect and current Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee wants out of his mess with the Red Devils as soon as possible. Como and Juventus are said to be interested:
Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee wants to leave Old Trafford in January, the Daily Mail reports. The 24-year-old has played just 74 minutes across three substitute appearances this season and, after being left out of the latest Netherlands squad by manager Ronald Koeman, he is ready to push for an exit in the next transfer window. Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Juventus maintain interest in him, but they could face competition from fellow Serie A side Como. Zirkzee was previously on the radar of Napoli before they decided to sign forward Rasmus Hojlund from the Red Devils on loan.
Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show: Germany 4-0 Luxembourg (World Cup Qualifiers)
Germany was in need of a good performance and Luxembourg was the right squad for the moment.
The team spirit appeared to be much higher than the last international break, where the Germans were flat, and the renewed energy helped power the team to a 4-0 victory. An early red card played a massive role in the outcome, but Germany likely would have rolled easily even without being a man-up for three quarters of the match.
Let’s dive into all of the details from the match on this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show! This is what we have on tap:
- A look at the starting XI as Julian Nagelsmann made some interesting selections.
- A rundown of the scoring and substitutions.
- Some final thoughts and takeaways on the match.
Madrid in good position with Upamecano (Sporting News)
Real Madrid reportedly thinks that it is in good shape to land Bayern Munich center-back Dayot Upamecano next summer:
Bayern Munich’s delay in resolving Dayot Upamecano’s future has opened a door for Real Madrid to weigh their options for the French defender.
Konate, who joined Bayern Munich from RB Leipzig in July 2021 for €42.5m [$49.5m] is in his final year of contract with talks over an extension beyond June 2026 continuing but without no final agreement.
The 26-year-old defender is one of the important piece at Allianz Arena and has made 161 appearances, scoring five goals for the Bavarian club.
His situation has worried the club hierarchy who has seen a series of stars depart Bavaria without compensation and the club fear repeating that pattern, according to the Marca.
The defender has reportedly been presented to Real Madrid and his name continues to surface in connection with the club.
Upamecano has reportedly agreed on a salary with Bayern Munich, but the Frenchman wants a hefty signing bonus, which the Bavarians have balked at…so far. Maybe a resolution to that issue will be expedited as January crawls closer.
Ter Stegen to get new deal at Barca? (Sport)
Injured goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen could be in line for a new deal with notorious deadbeat FC Barcelona:
Marc-André Ter Stegen is in the final stages of his recovery (he underwent surgery in July for lower back problems) and everything points to him being able to return to play in January. However, Barça is working to try to resolve his sporting and contractual situation sooner. The coming weeks will be eventful. This is a very important issue both on a sporting and financial level because his contract was terminated due to his long-term injury, allowing Joan Garcia to be registered.
Ter Stegen’s priority remains the same as it was in the summer: he wants to stay at Barça, but at this point, no scenario can be ruled out. Not even a departure in the upcoming winter transfer window. In this regard, the club has given the German goalkeeper complete freedom to decide his future, although there is external pressure that could tip the balance one way or the other. The German national team, under the leadership of Julian Nagelsmann, is pushing Marc-André to find a team where he can be a starter so that he can be in good shape at all levels for the World Cup.

The “MSN” trio was one of the most feared frontlines in the world before Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record €222 million in 2017. But now that Messi and Suarez are nearing retirement at the age of 38, the MLS club are looking to make one final move to bring in the 33-year-old Neymar, who has struggled with injury since moving back to Santos earlier this year.
