The Wisconsin Badgers have seen quite a few players announce their departure for the transfer portal already, so it’s time to open up our annual transfer portal thread.
We’ll be noting every key player
that has left the Badgers as the month goes along, and will also have a thread to track all the latest incoming transfers as well, once that starts to pick up in January.
So far, the Badgers have lost a few starters, as well as some reserve players, opening up some needs to address when they do start adding players.
Here’s the latest with transfer portal departures for Wisconsin.
Thursday, December 11th
C Jake Renfro: Starting center Jake Renfro is getting a medical hardship year and will enter the transfer portal for his seventh year of college football. He had been with the Badgers for the past three years, but dealt with injuries in 2023 and 2025.
OLB Angel Toombs: Walk-on outside linebacker/defensive end Angel Toombs is entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility left.
Wednesday, December 10th
WR Trech Kekahuna: Starting wide receiver Trech Kekahuna is entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility left. He had been a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023 and a talented player that the Badgers never got the most out of. After entering the portal and returning last year, he’s back in the portal again.
LB Tackett Curtis: Linebacker Tackett Curtis is entering the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility. After starting his career at USC, Curtis transferred to Wisconsin, where he’s been for the past two years. He lost his starting job to Cooper Catalano late in the season.
Tuesday, December 9th
RB Cade Yacamelli: Running back Cade Yacamelli is entering the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility. A rotational running back the last two seasons, Yacamelli was a regular on special teams, but could never carve out a significant role in the offense despite having great athleticism. He’ll look elsewhere for his final year of college football.
WR Joe Griffin: Wide receiver Joe Griffin is entering the transfer portal. After two seasons at Boston College, Griffin came to Wisconsin, but was deemed ineligible for the 2024 season. He then played sparingly in 2025 and will head elsewhere for the 2026 season.
Saturday, December 6th
P Atticus Bertrams: Former starting punter Atticus Bertrams is entering the transfer portal for his final year of college football. He had been Wisconsin’s starting punter for the past three seasons before splitting reps with redshirt freshman Sean West this Fall.
Thursday, December 4th
S Remington Moss: 2025 three-star defensive back Remington Moss is heading to the transfer portal after only one year. He was the first player to commit to Wisconsin in the Class of 2025.
WR Kyan Berry-Johnson: Former four-star wide receiver Kyan Berry-Johnson is heading to the transfer portal after two years with the Badgers. He’ll leave with three years of eligibility remaining.
Monday, December 1st
OLB Cody Raymond: Walk-on outside linebacker Cody Raymond became the first to enter the transfer portal. He’s leaving with three years of eligibility remaining.
