Union Saint-Gilloise has nothing to lose. No one expects the Belgian side to stroll into the Allianz Arena and take down Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Even with the odds stacked against it, Union
Saint-Gilloise is not going to just rollover and give the game to the Bavarians.
“Everyone knows Bayern are the favorites. We want to play our game and see what happens. We have to believe 100%; that’s all we can do. We shouldn’t focus too much on statistics. I’m going out there and want to enjoy it, and hopefully that will yield a result. (Harry) Kane, (Michael) Olise, (Luis) Díaz. Tomorrow’s opponents certainly have plenty of attacking talent. World-class players. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be playing here. Their playing style and results speak for themselves,” said Union Saint-Gilloise winger Raul Florucz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
On the other end of this, Bayern Munich will get a stern reminder from head coach Vincent Kompany that the team cannot look past Union Saint-Gilloise.
