According to a report from Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund could look to former Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard to solve a staffing issue on the backline this summer.
Nico Schlotterbeck’s future at BVB is currently up in the air, Aaron Anselmino returned to Chelsea last month, Niklas Süle is rumored to be leaving in the summer, and Emre Can could also part ways with the club.
To get ahead of things, Borussia Dortmund is eyeing potential imports — including former Bayern Munich center-back / right-back
Benjamin Pavard:
Now a prominent name is circulating: Benjamin Pavard (29). According to several portals, including “Transferfeed,” Borussia Dortmund is interested in the former Bayern Munich player. A loan with an option to buy is reportedly being discussed.
According to BILD, Dortmund is indeed monitoring the Frenchman’s progress. However, no concrete negotiations or official approach are currently planned. Rather, it is a loose market exploration.
If Borussia Dortmund does experience that much loss, it will absolutely have to make some moves. Would Pavard be a good move for BVB?
