The Washington Mystics defeated the Indiana Fever, 93-77 on Sunday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
Washington raced off to a big lead in the first half, leading by 20 points in the first half. Kiki Iriafen (21 points, 14 rebounds) and Shakira Austin (20 points, 10 rebounds) led the Mystics with double doubles while Sonia Citron added 16 points after missing Washington’s previous game against the Chicago Sky. The Mystics also held the Fever to just 37 percent shooting while shooting 57 percent themselves.
Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 25 points but shot 6-of-20 from the field.
Finally, with this win, should the Mystics tie the Fever in the regular season, Washington now holds the tiebreaker. This is huge for playoff seeding. For now though, Washington is 26-16 while Indiana is 27-15.
The Mystics are now done with all of their regular season road games. Their last two games are at home with the first on Tuesday against the Connecticut Sun. Tip off is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
