Ethyn Ewing is coming for another zero.
On Wednesday, the UFC officially announced a slew of new bouts for its upcoming UFC Vegas 119 event on June 20, which takes place at Meta Apex in Las Vegas and is headlined by a battle of elite flyweight contenders as Manel Kape faces Kyoji Horiguchi.
The most intriguing new addition sees fast-rising men’s bantamweight star Ewing (10-2) take on the undefeated Farid Basharat (15-0). Ewing’s past two wins have come against opponents with a combined 24-0 record
as he put on impressive performances against Rafael Estevam and Malcolm Wellmaker to hand them their first losses and he looks to play the spoiler again on June 20.
Basharat has impressed since joining the UFC in 2023, winning his first six fights for the promotion including notable wins over Jean Matsumoto, Chris Gutierrez, and Da’Mon Blackshear.
A pair of women’s bantamweights have also been added to the card, with ranked fighters Karol Rosa and Luana Santos facing off, and undefeated jiu-jitsu ace Bia Mesquta taking on Melissa Mullins.
