The Washington Commanders are elevating WR Tay Martin from the practice squad for tomorrow’s away game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Martin was elevated last week, and will be needed due to multiple
injuries at his position
They released their injury report on Friday, but ruled three players out on Thursday due to travel: WR Noah Brown (groin), WR Terry McLaurin (quad). RG Sam Cosmi(ACL) returned to practice this week, but hasn’t been activated.
The team also placed DE Javontae Jean-Baptiste(pec) on injured reserve after last week’s loss to the Falcons. The Commanders signed CB Antonio Hamilton from the practice squad. He had been elevated twice this season.
Washington’s secondary has been dealing with multiple injuries the last few weeks. Antonio Hamilton Sr. was called up from the practice squad last week and he played 5 snaps defense and 19 special teams snaps.
Tay Martin gets elevated for the second straight game. He will join the four WRs on the roster who are healthy. Martin was signed in late July and was with the team during training camp and played during the preseason. He was elevated again over Ja’Corey Brooks and Jacoby Jones who are also on the practice squad.
The Los Angeles Chargers are elevating two players for tomorrow’s game. OLB Clelin Ferrell was with the Commanders last season and during the offseason, and he gets elevated to play his former team. The Chargers also elevated RB Kimani Vidal.
