On occasion this season, some would argue that Bayern Munich has been caught looking ahead at games down the road rather than the task at-hand.
With a Champions League game at Atalanta next week, Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany insists his team will not lose its focus against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
“We’re used to mid-week games. The strange thing was when we didn’t have any and could enjoy Sundays. What’s coming our way is what we’re used to. We have the squad to play these games – and when we have few
games, there are players who only get few minutes, so it’s different. That’s what our squad is built for,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Everything Kompany said will be put to the test on Friday vs. Gladbach. Hopefully, the manager is correct with his statements as we all know how Die Fohlen can bit the Bavarians when they least expect it.
