Bayern Munich currently employs one of the best strikers in the world, no doubt. It is now time for that striker to decide whether he wants to stay at the club, and for how long.
Per a report from Sport1 (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is set to play the main role in contract talks with Harry Kane to ensure the striker remains at the club for the long term. Dreesen was the main driving force behind signing Kane in summer 2023, and still enjoys the greatest trust of the player himself,
as well as his father and brother. Both are involved in Kane’s career planning and have a good relationship with Dreesen.
Bayern Munich are confident they have good chances of keeping the striker. The club would like to extend until 2029, while the Englishman prefers to have certainty until 2030. That is where Dreesen’s role comes into play: to convince Kane’s camp of a contract duration that is healthy for the club.
Kane told Sport1 after the Pokal final: “At this point in my career, I want to get the most out of a contract. This will be one of the last contracts I sign as a player. I’m an open and honest guy. I’ll have honest discussions with those in charge.”
Will Dreesen be able to bridge the gap and secure Kane’s future in Munich? Let us know in the comments!
