There is a huge game Sunday as the 3-00 Las Vegas Raiders host the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1:25 p.m. PT. Here are five keys for the Raiders to stay unbeaten:
Turnover magic:
A big reason why the Raiders are undefeated is how well their defense is creating turnovers. They have had had multiple takeaways in all three games (including four in the fourth quarter at New Orleans in Week 3) and have a league-high nine on the season. They are plus-five on turnover differential.
That’s is a winning formula. It needs to keep up against the Chiefs.
Brock, Brock, Brock:
Raider’s star Brock Bowers showed his impact on this offense at New Orelans in his season debut. He had 10 catches for 116 cayrds and ccoach Klint Kubiak lined up in severeal different ways. Bwoers is an X Factor for this offense. The Riaders need to ride him to victory Sunday.
Stop Kelce:
While Bowers is a key for the Raiders’ offense, stopping Travis Kelce is a key for the Raiders’ defense. Kelce is re-energized and is having a big season so far. This guy is a noted Raiders’ killer, anyway. So, you know he will be up for this game. He can’t take over.
The crowd:
This is the biggest Raiders’ game at Allegiant Stadium since the Chargers’ game to end the 2021 season. Chiefs fans have famously taken over Allegiant Stadium every year since fans have been allowed inside for games. That can’t happen this week. This has to be a pro-home team crowd.
Third-down defense:
The Raiders allowed the Saints to convert on third down nine of 15 times in Week 3. That can’t happen against Patrick Mahomes, Kenneth Walker and Kelce.
