Bright and early on a Saturday morning, the Holy War is upon us. And for the first time in almost 100 games, both BYU and Utah are ranked in the top 10. The stakes are high in Salt Lake City as Utah looks to remain undefeated, and BYU looks to make the CFP committee forget about a bad loss by earning a second top-5 win.
BYU played in Provo last week, defeating Arizona State by a final score of 27-20. The BYU Cougars are 7-1 on the year and 4-1 in the Big 12. That one loss came at the hands of UCF
in Orlando in double overtime, a couple of weeks ago.
The Utah Utes have that unblemished record at 8-0 overall, and are 5-0 in conference play. Last week, they trounced Cincinnati at Cincinnati by a final score of 49-25.
Saturday morning marks the 98th meeting between the in-state rivals. Utah leads the series, 59-34-4. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Utah a 65 percent chance of winning.
