Word From Author:
Coral: Shall we continue….? I believe you were talking about the past MM and how things seem to have changed. How does that make you feel?
Juninho: ….It doesn’t matter.
Coral: No go on. Tell us.
Juninho: …. (blows smoke)
Coral: ….
Juninho: …
Coral: We’ve known you since you were just a member Jun. Frankly, you got a problem with authority and the status quo. This attitude of yours… it’s a lot of what’s made you an effective moderator and MM leader. But we all got flaws, even you. Seven deadly sins, and yours is… pride.
We Meet Again: The Old Lady
“We worry so much sometimes it feels like that’s all we do. But in the end it gets washed away. All of it, just washed away.” Carmela Soprano
Match Day. And here we are back to face Juventus in Match #3 of the Champions League. So far we’ve been perfect, but now face likely our biggest test (as well as our biggest upcoming weeks) in the competition. Looking at Juventus, Los Blancos are facing them at likely one of the “better” moments. Juventus currently sit in 7th place in Serie A with 3 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss. The team has found relatively little success in the CL with two thrilling draws; however, don’t take the Bianconeri lightly. We should probably expect goals or at least the team to take advantage of any shortcomings we have defensively as they’ve been able to score multiple goals against teams such as Villareal, Inter Milan, and BVB. Hopefully, the team will be prepped for a great home match.
What To Expect: Lineup.
“He Was A Saint!” — Livia Soprano re Rodrygo
So I would personally play a 4-man midfield that looks like a diamond. Assuming Dean is unavailable, which I believe he is, the backline would be Carreras, Asencio, Militao, Fede. The midfield would be Tchou as a pivot, Cama as the left side 8, Jude right side 8, and then Arda as a 10. Vini x Mbappe as two forwards.
Again this is what I personally would advocate for.
This is what I expect. I pretty much expect a more traditional 433 lineup that we typically see. I expect the normal frontline with Franco at RW. The midfield gets a little tricky but I suspect we’ll see both Jude and Arda with Tchouameni as a pivot. And then the expected backline. This is a big week for Xabi and the club so I don’t expect him to tinker or play around too much unless necessary.
NOW, a tiny bit of me wants to gamble that we’ll see a back three of Carreras, Tchou, Militao to compensate for Alaba + Dean being unavailable. Then a 4 of Fran Cama Jude Fede. And then a front combo of Vini Mbappe Arda. Buuuttttt I doubt this. You never know I guess. Xabi finds ways to surprise me. (Rodrygo at RW loading!!)
And Just A Bit Of Hype.
A Por La 16.
…All Due Respect
Juninho: All due respect, you got no fuckin’ idea what it’s like to be Number One. Every decision you make affects every facet of every other thing. It’s too much to deal with almost. And in the end you’re completely alone with it all. ….
