Earlier this week, we asked fans to grade the Michigan Wolverines through six games. And now the results are in.

The most votes, 67%, gave Michigan a C grade. 13% of fans voted B, 17% voted D, while only
2% of fans gave Michigan an A, and 1% voted F.
Michigan is 4-2 and currently unranked, and a grade of C is fair heading into a pivotal matchup against the 5-1 Washington Huskies. With a loss, Michigan will become all the more average, but with a win their College Football Playoff hopes would still be alive.
Michigan’s losses have both come on the road — a 23-14 defeat to the Oklahoma Sooners, and then last week, a 31-13 drubbing by the USC Trojans. USC had 489 yards of total offense — 265 through the air and 224 on the ground. If the Michigan defense continues to have subpar performances like that, a grade of C for the team as a whole will remain or could regress even further. We’ll know more after the dust settles on Saturday at Michigan Stadium when the Wolverines take on the Huskies.
