It’s only game #7 for the Eagles, but their season has already totally collapsed. UConn, on the other hand, has a winning record and is looking for their 2nd-ever victory over BC.

ACC Power Rankings—Week 8, 2025
What to Watch For
- Disrupt Fagnano. UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano does a great job of running an efficient offense and taking care of the ball. BC needs to get pressure on the quarterback and disrupt his rhythm, otherwise they are likely to get dink-and-dunked into oblivion.
- Believe it or not, BC needs to score! UConn’s defense was outmatched against Syracuse and Delaware in those two losses. BC’s most likely route to victory in this game is by exploiting UConn’s inexperienced defense, especially by converting in the redzone. The Huskies are giving up touchdowns on nearly 90% of their opponents’ redzone drives. The BC offense needs to take care of the ball and not commit turnovers at inopportune times. Looking at you, Turbo and Dylan.
- Running Turbo might be the only thing that works right now. After those disastrous goal line fumbles in the first few weeks of the season, BC running back Turbo Richard has been one of the few bright spots on this Eagles team. He should be able to get going against this UConn rush defense that allowed 247 rushing yards and 5 TDs against Delaware a few weeks ago.
Prediction: UConn 31 Boston College 23
I can’t predict BC to win, even against UConn. The Eagles have looked so utterly terrible the past two weeks on both sides of the ball. UConn has a solid offense that should be able to take advantage of the depleted BC secondary. Even if Turbo or Lonergan (or Reisig or James) is able to do some damage on offense, I don’t believe in the BC defense’s ability to get a stop.
