Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is making progress in his recovery from injury
as the teenager aims to be ready to return in time for World Cup 2026.Yamal has been ruled out of the rest of Barca’s season with a hamstring problem but should be fit to take his place in Spain’s squad for this summer’s tournament.
According to Carrusel Deportivo, Barcelona’s No. 10 is already working out on the gym and has done various exercises on the training pitch as he works his way back to fitness.
Yamal is being looked
after carefully by the club’s rehab experts and is expected to have a club physio with him at the World Cup to monitor his recovery carefully.
There’s been speculation already that Yamal may miss Spain’s first group game of the World Cup against Cape Verde and then be eased back carefully in the following matches against Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
The priority is to avoid suffering any kind of relapse and for Spain to have Yamal at 100% for the knockout phase of the tournament.
