Here’s what I said yesterday in this same space:
…The Dodgers haven’t really gotten anything from Shohei Ohtani at any point during the Postseason so far — at the plate, at least. He’ll have a shot to deliver
the finishing blow as part of LA’s pitching staff as he’ll be starting for Los Angeles tonight.
Boy, oh boy. He certainly did deliver one absolute whammy of a finishing blow, didn’t he? The Dodgers are now in the World Series for the third time in four seasons after Shohei Ohtani broke his silence by delivering one of the greatest performances you’ll ever see in a Postseason game. It was simply astonishing to witness that last night and while it’s still a bit of a bummer that he is simply just another cog in the juggernaut machine that is the Dodgers, it’s worth it to see him shine on the Postseason stage like this.
Anyways, the Dodgers have won the NL Pennant and by the end of tonight’s action, we will either see the Mariners clinch the AL Pennant or we’ll have a Winner-Take-All Game 7 in Toronto on Sunday night for the right to go to the World Series. Can the Mariners finally make it to their first-ever World Series? Or will the Blue Jays turn up the drama factor and gie us baseball fans a Game 7 tomorrow? Let’s find out!
