The Los Angeles Rams open 2026 live action football on the road, traveling to Kansas City, Missouri for the Saturday August 15 preseason opener. Kickoff from Arrowhead Stadium is set 1 p.m. PST. The Rams and Chiefs have met twice, both regular season games, since Sean McVay took over the L.A. reins in 2017. KC won 26-10 in 2022, while the Rams won a 54-51 barn burner in 2018. The Chiefs hold an 8-5 all-time advantage.
Saturday’s game is just an appetizer, the entree will be served on December 3 (Week
13), when the Rams host the Chiefs for a Thursday Night Football repast. Expect both teams to hold their cards close to the vest this weekend. Chiefs Head coach Andy Reid said as much in an August 10 presser:
“They’re not going to play anybody. And so–and we’ll be very vanilla, too. “That’s kind of how it is…You’re not really game planning for these things. You’re just taking base plays and going and running them.”
Here’s how to follow the game!
