The college football transfer portal opened yesterday and it’s been reported that over 3000 college football players have submitted their names into the system. While some fans were expecting a commitment
or two, the players are allowed to visit schools — and definitley should.
Notre Dame already has a number of players lined up for a visit:
Penn State DT Xavier Gilliam
Iowa State CB Jontez Williams
Michigan State WR Nick Marsh
Central Florida DT Horace Lockett
Michigan State DE Jalen Thompson
Wake Forest DT Mateen Igirogba
Notre Dame will be very agressive in the portal as it looks to take care of a number of needs such as wide receiver, defensive line, nickel, and kicker. There is also still room for luxury adds if Notre Dame wants to go a certain route.
I’m 97% sure all of the Irish players that wnted to be in the portal are currently IN the portal, but another name or two wouldn’t shock me.
