Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has confirmed Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen will both be in the squad to face Atletico Madrid on Sunday in La Liga.
The two players have been back in training after injury and are in with a chance of playing in what is a big game at the top of the table.
“Eric Garcia is ready to start, but we’ll see. Both Eric and Christensen will be included in the squad,” Flick told reporters are his pre-match press conference.
Flick also offered an update on Jules Kounde, who is yet
to return to training due to an ankle problem, and is hopeful he will be fit after the international break.
“We were hoping he’d be back sooner, but we have to take care of him. We have to monitor his progress every day. He’s taking a little longer; we hope to see him after the international break,” he added.
Sunday’s match is the final game before the break. Barcelona start the weekend two points ahead of Atletico, while Real Madrid are three points off the top spot and take on Valencia later today.
