Welcome back to College Football Saturday!
Man, that College GameDay from UM’s Coral Gables campus was electric, wasn’t it?! Anyways, the day now moves into the games being played.
While your Miami Hurricanes have a night game tonight against the Florida Gators (7:30pm, ABC), there are PLENTY of other games to enjoy today in the lead up to the Canes.
While you watch games from coast to coast today, hop in the comments and talk about the action as it happens. And, in case you needed to know who to root
for in games with ACC teams, we’ve got you covered on that front:
I’ll post a couple highlight games in this window, but here’s a watchgrid graphic from TrigDraws, a contributor with another network.

Anyways, a couple games to keep an eye on in the early window, with lines provided by our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook:
- #17 Texas Tech at #16 Utah, Noon, FOX; line: Utah -3 — This ranked matchup is the spotlight game of the early window. This will be the game everyone is watching.
- Arkansas at Memphis, Noon, Fox; line: Arkansas -7.5 — Arkansas is looking to work their way into a decent season. Memphis had been a very tough G5 time under Justin Fuente, then Mike Norvell, and now Ryan Silverfield. This game has the highest “upset alert” potential of the early window.
- SMU at TCU, Noon, ESPN2; line: TCU -7 — The final installment of The Iron Skillet rivalry, with none on the books for the future, both teams are looking to grab bragging rights that will last for a long, long time. My heart wants SMU to win for Miami strength of schedule purposes, but my head picked TCU in my picks league so…
- Syracuse at Clemson, Noon, ESPN; line: Clemson -17.5 — Syracuse coach Fran Brown loves Dabo Swinney so much he mentioned Dabo immediately after Syracuse’s upset win over Miami last year. So yeah, I hate him. And, with the burgeoning return of #Clemsoning, this game is rife with storylines for those watching.
- #22 Auburn at #11 Oklahoma, 3:30pm, ABC; line: Oklahoma -6.5 — Huge SEC game between ranked teams. Easily the co-spotlight game of this window along with….
- #21 Michigan at Nebraska, 3:30pm, CBS; line: Michigan -2.5 — can Big Blue get back on the good foot after their loss at Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago, or can great value cosplay Patrick Mahomes and company get a big, big statement win at home?
There are more games, obviously, but those are the ones that stick out to me in the early window.
As we all know Canes-Gators is the headliner of the week, but other games like #9 Illinois at #19 Indiana are in the late window as well.
Let’s talk some football until we’re back for the latest installment of Canes-Gators later this evening.
