Internet wrestling sleuths were already on the case of WWE’s mysterious shoe-centric videos when John Cena posted a screenshot of a pair from the first teaser to his weird Instagram. It came around the same time as this from his motivational speaker X/Twitter:
Somehow, it all became the latest theory
that Cena won’t retire after Dec. 13’s Saturday’s Night Main Event. It’s not the first, as fans usual desire to sniff out a big wrestling angles combines with hope that maybe Cena will work a few more months beyond the end-of-2025 date he set when announcing his retirement last year, or leave the comeback door open.
But we heard those teasers are for something other than a performer, match or feud (click here if you want to know what). And in another sign that we need to accept that the wrestler who has defined WWE in the 21st century is calling it a career, Netflix today (Oct. 27) started promoting Cena’s final Raw…

Over 300 days (and one record-breaking championship reign) later, Cena steps down the aisle for the final WWE Raw of his illustrious career on Nov. 17, in front of what’s sure to be a raucous crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
