The Ravens’ injuries were a main storyline all week, but head coach Jesse Minter seems to have avoided disaster with only wide receiver Zay Flowers sitting out the contest. Outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, and left guard John Simpson are all active, keeping Baltimore’s pass rush
and Lamar Jackson’s Week 1 starting offensive line intact.
The Saints are the kind of early-season opponent that would torment the Ravens during the John Harbaugh. Especially after an exciting win over the Colts, Baltimore could be primed for a trap game against an underwhelming NFC South opponent who still put up 30 points in Week 1. But Minter, his staff, and his players have stressed the importance of staying focused and hungry for improvements all week, making it clear they are not taking any opponent lightly.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+. Join Baltimore Beatdown’s discussion about the Ravens’ matchup with the Saints on browser, mobile, or SB Nation’s new app!
