While Aston Villa and João Palhinha have agreed to personal terms, Bayern Munich is not yet aligned in the scenario that would see the Portuguese midfielder leave Bavaria in favor Birmingham.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Bayern Munich is “rejecting” Aston Villa’s offer of a loan with an option to buy to bring in Palhinha:
🚨🆕 Aston Villa are currently offering FC Bayern a loan with an option to buy for Joao Palhinha.
Bayern are rejecting this proposal. For now, a permanent transfer
remains the priority.
Personal terms between Palhinha and Aston Villa have been fully agreed for several days. Villa boss Damian Vidagany has spoken publicly. It is now only down to the clubs. Palhinha is waiting for a decision.

Bayern Munich has been reluctant to to do anything aside of sell Palhinha outright. While this is a setback, it might only be temporary as the two clubs are still trying t push the limits of what they actually want for now.
