Renato Moicano vs. Chris Duncan squared off in a Lightweight bout earlier tonight (Sat., April 4, 2026) at UFC Vegas 115 inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a stellar performance, Moicano picked apart and strangled his American Top Team training partner.
Moicano was sharp early on, checking his opponent’s low kicks and blasting him with a heavy right hand counter. Duncan stuffed his first pair of takedown attempts, however. Moicano found the mark with a long 1-2 as his boxing continued to set
the tone. The Brazilian stuck his foe with hard jabs, giving Duncan relatively few opportunities to land his own offense. In short, the opening five minutes were one-way traffic from the Brazilian veteran.
The exchange heated up further in the second. Moicano’s jab continued to hum, and he grew more aggressive with his counter punches, resulting in big lands from both men. Just as Duncan landed a nice overhand, Moicano cracked him with a left hook counter and sat him down! In the chaos, Moicano jumped onto his opponent’s back and went after the neck. Duncan’s face was busted up, and he bled freely while trying to survive Moicano’s back control.
After about a minute on the back, Moicano sank in the rear naked choke to secure a dominant finish victory.
The Brazilian veteran was incredibly impressive here! Duncan has looked very sharp lately, but Moicano was pretty easily able to shut down his offense and break him down with his boxing. Once in top position, Moicano’s jiu-jitsu prowess was on display, and it was quite clear why Duncan was so focused on denying the takedown.
Once again, a Lightweight veteran has denied a passing-of-the-torch moment and turned away a younger talent.
Result: Moicano defeats Duncan via rear naked choke
